People work on their short game and putting. Some also work on distance. These are all important aspects of a good golf game. It is important to have a perfect swing. These seven steps can help you improve your golf swing. These steps will help you improve your golf swing and your game, I guarantee it.
1. Grip is essential for a successful golf swing. First, link your pinky finger and the pointer fingers of your other hand. This can be done either lefty, righty, or both. Once you’ve linked your fingers, your thumbs should point straight towards the ball. You can now move on if you’ve done it correctly.
2. Stance – When you are addressing the ball, it is important to start by putting your feet shoulder width apart. It is crucial to have a good golf swing. Once you are positioned up with your ball, bend your knees and let loose. Do not lose your balance, or you will have a shot that is either too long or too short. You can position your club once you’re comfortable with how you stance.
3. Alignment: After you are satisfied with your alignment, address the ball and place your clubhead right next to it. Place the ball right behind your front or front feet. Your knees should be bent. Bend your arms. Your arms should form an V-shaped shape when you position your club behind the ball. You can now move into your backswing after you’ve completed the above step.
4. The backswing: Once you’ve positioned yourself to the ball, move your club gently upwards. Keep your eyes fixed on the ball, and keep your head steady. Your arm will bend depending on how you swing. Your hips should be pointing away from your ball. Keep your feet flat on the ground. Do not shift too far to the back, or you’ll become imbalanced.
5. Downswing: When downswinging, keep your eyes fixed on the ball and your head steady. While you’re swinging down, keep your hips pointing towards the ball. While rolling the club, make sure your hands are in front of it.
6. Clubface Contact – When your downswing is over and you’re close to reaching contact with your club, ensure that your ball hits the centre of the face of the club. This is your sweet spot and will help your ball pop from your club. This is how you should feel when you are hitting the ball.
7. Continue to Follow through – Once you have made contact with the ball, your swing should be as balanced and smooth as possible. After you’ve completed your swing, you can complete the backswing by keeping your club in front of you. Do this and your entire body will turn. When your club is in front of your head, your back foot should lift off the ground. Your heel should point straight up toward the sky. This will allow you to put a glass water on the back of your heel, if done correctly.
These seven steps are key to an excellent golf swing. Have fun out there, and I hope to see you soon on the links.
