When I picked this book up from a friend, I didn’t expect much. The title led me to believe it would be boring. “golf for enlightenment”It is. But I couldn’t put it down as soon as it started to read.
Adam is the story of a man who obsesses about golf, but leaves the course feeling miserable. It’s a scenario that many of us can easily relate to. This book has a lot of appeal because it is relatable to most people.
The ‘Master of the Game,’ and the ‘New Way to Play’
This chapter is actually the second of two, with a foreword written by Jesper Pernevik. They are called chapters “A New Way to Play” “Master of the Game”. Dr. Copra discusses golf from a spiritual perspective in the first chapter. It is something new or very uncommon. He talks about how the feeling you get just before hitting the ball is crucial to determine the trajectory of the ball. “clear perception”To master golf, creativity is key. Dr Chopra talks about the importance of creativity when playing golf, due to the variety of lies and situations that can be encountered. His method is to lose part of one’s technical ability and forget about your own shortcomings.This is unless it’s something that comes easily to you, or if you begin when you’re younger.
