Everybody who participates in sports knows the importance of having certain items in their athletic bag. No matter your age, you can sustain a muscle strain, injury, or sprain. A muscle injury during a closely contested match or game is the worst thing. You have to prepare for it. Competitors never know the exact moment that a nagging injury might occur. It doesn’t matter how severe the injury is, it matters that you are able to access it whenever you need. The following products are indispensable for serious athletes:
I. Prior to Competition
ThermoDerm is my personal favourite pre-sports remedy for pain and muscle aches (especially in the lower back). Many will be familiar with the following: “atomic balm”Deep muscle injuries were the most common treatment that trainers use. This was a heavy, sticky substance that smelled bad and soiled everything in its path. There are many good things about it. “atomic balm”The best part was its durability. ThermoDerm’s advantage is its simplicity of application and long-lasting warmth. This is the most typical. “drug store”All products that I tried were effective for less than half an hour. After 2 hours, Thermoderm is still working. Thermoderm has a very mild scent that is easy to wash off. It is extremely useful and highly recommended by me.
II.Following a joint or muscle injury:
BioFreeze is my favorite muscle pain relief product after an injury. To compress injured muscle tissue, I use BioFreeze to apply on the affected area. If possible, an elastic wrap is used. BioFreeze works well for treating joint pain, tendinitis or bursitis as well as arthritis. BioFreeze cools down to ease pain, so that you are able to complete your sporting event. It is easy to clean off and has a low odor. You can buy Biofreeze in many convenient containers. Mueller coolant spray is another product that I like to use for mild joint pain. The spray has an instant cooling effect, which helps to relieve soreness. It works instantly and can easily be applied to the affected area. BioFreeze penetrates deeper than BioFreeze, and this product won’t keep as long. Mueller coolant spray I use primarily to play golf. It is always in my golf bag.
III. Tapes and wraps
Ace bandage is a product that I have used for many different purposes. It can be found at most drug stores. The 4 in width is my favorite because it covers more surface and doesn’t slide around as much as smaller sizes. You don’t need to worry about using those pointy clips which can scratch your skin. The Velcro is now used at the ends of these wraps.
A cohesive elastic bandage is the newest product. The cohesive elastic bandage ıs really a stretchable wrap that sticks to itself. This bandage conforms easily to any size joints. Because it is composed of special, cohesive material, the bandage will not adhere to hair or skin. Therefore, removal is easy and painless. The material can be easily torn by hand so no special tools are required. Fabrifoam flexible wrappings, which include a thin layer o flexible insulation to provide better support and compression for sprained feet, is another product improvement. These are team athletic trainers. “artists”You can use it to treat a variety of sports injuries.
IV. IV.
After you are done exercising, apply cold pressure to the sprain. The cold therapy helps reduce swelling, pain and inflammation. An instant chemical cold pack, which provides immediate cold and does not require refrigeration or freezing is recommended if ice is unavailable. The bag will become cold by simply being squeezed. An economical sports ice bag is a good option if you don’t have access to ice. It can hold cold water, crushed or cubed ice and provides quick cold therapy. You can use an ace wrap to secure the bag around your injuries. A combination ice bag and an adjustable neoprene wrapped can be used to provide cold therapy hands-free. Thermal neoprene wrap provides long-lasting temperature control and adjustable compression. It also has strong Velcro closures.
V. Braces (be ready)
You should always keep a pair of simple ankle and knee braces in your backpack. These are the areas that most people have the greatest difficulty with. An ankle and knee brace made from a basic elastic or neoprene is often used.
