Although my daughter wanted to learn golf, she wasn’t willing to pay a lot for lessons. We took her on a trip to the course. She couldn’t get her ball to move where she desired it, no matter what she did. We took her back to the golf course after a couple of weeks. Surprisingly, she was able to improve her game quite a lot. She said she was glad that she finally gave in to my request and had taken lessons. But she didn’t. It was simple advice that helped her improve her swing.
What can you do to improve your swing like my daughter? Below is some advice that she received. It may also be of benefit to you.
• If you want to improve your golf swing you need to make sure you are relaxed when swinging the ball. Tenseness and hitting the ball with your club is not a good idea.
• Your feet should be approximately should width apart.
• Your front foot should always face your target at a 20-degree angle.
• Always keep your knees slightly bent. It will improve your flexibility, and allow you to relax.
• Keep your arms and elbows as close together in your stance as possible for better control.
• When you make your back swing your left heel should barely lift off the ground.
• Always keep your left arm straight at the top of your back swing.
It is a complex game. Golf is much more than hitting a golf ball at the ball. You need to be able to comprehend the basics of how golf swing works. This is what my daughter learned from these tips.
These tips will make a big difference to your ability to play golf. You may have bad habits that you did not want to repeat. It is much easier to break them and learn better habits. This will require patience, practice and time. It is worth the effort to improve your swing and learn the mechanics.
These tips will help you to understand my frustration (and mine) with this game. These tips may surprise you at the difference that they make.
