Cleveland Hybrid Golf Clubs

The two product lines of hybrid golf clubs offered by Cleveland Golf will be discussed in this article.

These lines are the Hibore hybrid golf clubs and Halo.

Cleveland Golf – Hibore hybrids

Cleveland Hybrids’ most distinctive feature is the so-called an “inverted crown” design. The weight of the club is removed from its top and rear and distributed around the perimeter. This lowers the center gravity (CG), and moves it away from the clubface. This allows the ball to be lifted into the air much more easily. The weight redistribution increases the moment-of-inertia (MOI). A higher MOI gives you greater resistance to clubhead twisting with off-center hits. This results in higher ball speed.

These hybrids from Hibore are more recent than those of the Halo range. Some design features have been added by the Cleveland Golf Pro Tour staff. A club face 10% larger and an edge slightly wider at the tip have resulted in a better hitting surface and less digging.

6-Hibore Hybrid clubs can be purchased as 1-6 hybrids. They would also replace 1-6 golf irons. The lofts are adjustable from 16 to 31 degrees and can be ordered with either steel or graphite shafts. The standard shafts come in two types: Cleveland-branded graphite shafts and Dynamic Gold Superlite steel shafts. You can find many more shaft options on the company’s website. In all cases, left handed clubs can be used. According to the Cleveland Hybrid Golf Clubs website, both Hibore- and Halo models can be used by all levels of golfers. For women, there are 3-6 hybrid clubs.

The Halo Hybrid Utility golf clubs

The Halo brand of clubs, which is still available on the market today and very much in demand, was the predecessor to the Hibore Hybrid. The Halo line of clubs is still on the market and very popular. “inverted Crown”It is obvious that weight is distributed to the perimeter of club. This lowers the CG and increases the MOI as previously discussed. The Halo line is said to produce shots 5-10 yards longer that those of their irons. The Cleveland website doesn’t explain how this longer range is achieved. One should know that the Cleveland hybrid clubs can leave a distance of between 5-10 yards and his lowest number iron. An acquaintance, who plays a Cleveland 2H, is an exceptional golfer. I asked him if he believes he hit the hybrid further, which is an additional data point.

The Halo line has 7 clubs. The Halo line includes a 1Hstrong with a 14° loft and 1-6 hybrids, both with similar lofts to the Hibore. The shaft options are identical to those in the Hibore range. Although the 1H or 1Hstrong models aren’t available left-handed, they can be ordered in one of the 2-6 Hybrids in the Halo series. For women, there are 3-6H versions.
