Spend a day at the beach

You aren’t the only one who thinks that your bunker shot is your worst. After a good round, I find myself in the bunker. From there, it seemed like things were getting worse. Sometimes it would take me 2 or 3 swings to escape the bunker. I’d end up in worse shape than when I got out. You have ever tried to avoid getting in trouble by hitting a shot either from the fairway, or off the tee.

Bunker shots are not difficult. The bunker shot can be one of the most straightforward shots in golf if you are able to master it. There is an exact way to hit a bunker shot. Most golfers don’t know how to do it. As I recall, when trying to figure out how to break the trap, everyone gave me their advice. Instead of listening to teachers or club professionals, I simply took their bad advice.

When you stop and think about how many times you’ve received poor advice while playing on the course, you will realize that it is quite a lot. Consider taking advice from another golfer, who may not be as talented as you. If they are worse than you it is likely that they are not.

Practice is key when practicing your golf shots. Make sure you find a range where there are bunkers for practice. The practice bunker is where I practice my bunker shots. I would be a joker if you were able to see me in the bunker when you golfed with us in my early years. Before I learned how to hit the bunker shot correctly, I felt miserable every time I got in. Although I don’t always put the ball 2ft away from the pin when I bunker, I never skull it over or wait more than 3 minutes to exit.

It is important to practice. Learn the correct mechanics to lower your score. Don’t try to just get it out. You deserve the chance to save your score.
