What is the difference between ladies and men’s golf clubs?

About 22 percent are females among the 26 million Americans who play adult golf. This is a large number of women playing the game that was once closed to them — approximately 5.7 million. Michelle Wei (a young wonder-golfer) is making an impact. More women are likely to play their golf clubs for ladies on fairways and greens around the country in years to follow.

There are some differences between the ladies’ and mens’ golf clubs. These differences must exist, naturally. Because women have wider hips than men and are heavier in the chest and shoulders, their swing will differ. A woman’s swing is generally shorter, which means that their clubs should have lighter heads. So on.

Below is a listing of differences between the two clubs.

Ladies golf clubs:

  • They are graphite-based and have greater flexibility, which allows them to exert more power on the ball.
  • To help you get your ball up, the sweet spot will be larger and the center of gravity lower.
  • It is possible that the shaft length may be one or two inches shorter than the others. But height, and not the gender, determines how long the shaft. So a ladies club really doesn’t need to be smaller
  • Lighter
  • have smaller heads
  • Club speed is slower
  • They come in feminine colours like pink, red, yellow, and pastel.
  • Because a woman’s hand is almost always smaller and finer than that of a man, it has shorter grips

But it wasn’t always this way. It can be said that golf dates back to Julius Caesar’s time, when only men were allowed to play the game. There were not women’s clubs in 1550s when Mary Queen of Scots played.

Stress Free Golf Swing

As an aside note, the caddie name was given to Mary by the builders of St Andrews in 1897. It’s not clear if she played, but I believe so. The course was closed to women until almost 400 years after it opened for men.

In 1893, women began to play in their own tournaments of golf in the UK. The same year in America and Australia, it’s probable that they were able to find shorter, more fashionable clubs.

Today’s clubs for women account for a large part of sales and inventory at big brands.
