It’s not enough to get on the treadmill and spend 30 minutes listening “Twisted Sisters” while you sweat. “We’re Not Gonna Take It”And praying that your fat weight will melt away quicker than your muscle. It should make exercise fun and exciting. This is what exercise has become. We know it’s important, so we purchase gym memberships. But then, when the time comes to actually get into the car and drive to the gym, it becomes a chore.
People often view exercise as boring or tedious. They believe they must do intense, hard workouts every day in order to achieve the body they desire. This is why gyms have radios and TVs everywhere. They line walls with treadmills and steppers so we can lose weight as quickly as possible. Your body will benefit from varying your exercise regimen. This surprises your muscles, and causes them to adjust as you change your exercise routine.
As a child, think back to your childhood. Recess included jumping rope, kickball, hula-hooping and playing tag with friends. There are many ways to burn calories and get rid of those dreadful thighs, depending on what your abilities and physique. I can assure you that even thin girls with the wrong activity will get those ugly divots.
1. You can jump rope. These are inexpensive, fun and burn calories.
2. Dancing. It doesn’t matter if you are dancing waltz or swing, it is good fun to let loose and have fun.
3. Racquetball/Tennis. There is nothing that lets you get moving and excite you like racquetball and hitting the ball hard. Raquetball works best if you are more interested in smacking the ball than chasing it.
4. You can play golf without a cart. Enjoy the thrill of walking while enjoying new surroundings and chasing a small white ball.
5. If this is your thing, get off the treadmill and put on Twisted Sister.
I believe that moving is good. Moving faster is always better. Do not try to move as fast and as quickly as possible. It’s not your intention to harm yourself or go backwards. Do what you love and continue doing it.
