The Golf Swing Tip: Get Maximum Distance With Your Driver

Let me share these golf swing tips with you if you’re not hitting the ball well. These tips can help you identify the issue in your golf swing.

Your shoulders must turn in order to be a great golf driver.

Only if your head is up and your chin down, can they turn in the backswing.

Amateur golfers often have difficulty with this. This is most likely due to focusing too hard and being too focused on the ball. (This problem can be a serious one, so I’ll write another lesson shortly). However, it is important to get back to your shoulders and chin.

Your shoulders will not be able to turn back in the backswing if you are not properly positioned at your address.

This is why it’s bad for your golf swing.

Concentrate for one minute on your right side. Your right shoulder must be in the backswing. Your chin should not get in the way or prevent your shoulder from turning. You will DIP your right shoulder so it can turn underneath your chin. This allows your right shoulder move backwards and upwards.

Golf Swing Speed Challenge

When you’re driving your driver, this is not a good idea.

If your right shoulder moves upward, you will notice a more vertical swing plane and tilting your spin to your left. This will cause you to hit the ground and result in a lot more shots hitting the left. You’ll end up with a poor swing that doesn’t allow you to get as far off the green.

Don’t hit the shorts too much (known as hitting fat), or if your long golf clubs are too far to the left. Next time you are swinging, try this tip.

  1. Before you address the ball, relax your neck, lift your chin and move your arms away from your chest.
  2. To rotate your shoulders, ensure there’s enough space between your chest and chin.
  3. Finally, and perhaps most important, you should start your backswing with moving your right shoulder back. Do not focus on your left shoulder.

Use this tip the next time that you go to the range. I hope you find it helpful.
