A laceration of the hymen or rupture as a result sexual intercourse is called defloration. Other lacerations of the hymen that aren’t caused by sexual intercourse will not be considered defloration.
Evacuation of Deflorations:
1. Vulva condition:
Normaly, the labia minora (majora) and minora (minora) are close to one another. This covers almost all external genitalia. The intoitus vae may be exposed if the labia are not properly tended to after defloration.
This may be a problem as some women may possess inherently gaunting labias, particularly, asthenic females, even though there are no previous sexual acts. Others may retain the coaptated labia even though there have been prior sexual acts.
2. Fourchette:
Due to the stretching that occurred during the insertion of male organs, the normal V-shape is now lost. The walls will retract with the rounding at the base if the stretching force is removed.
In as many cases as possible, a retracting of the fourchette does not indicate defloration. Separation of the thighs from dancing or horse riding can cause retraction. The fourchette may retract without any previous sexual acts.
The perineum, lower part of posterior vaginal wall and fourchette can all be affected by an act of sexuality or other reasons.
3. Vaginal Canal
Repetitive sexual actions can result in a diminution or even complete disappearance of the vaginal rugosities. The wall will have a slight laxity, which allows for the easy insertion of medium-sized tubes during medical exams.
It is not possible to rely on changes in vaginal rugosities and laxity of the wall as proof of defloration. Instrumentation, masturbation, or insertion of foreign body or similar acts can cause such conditions.
Defloration and other reasons may cause injuries to both the vaginal wall and the vulva.
4. Hymen:
The initial act of sexual activity results in the laceration of the hymen. It is sometimes possible for this to not happen. The hymens of some women are so thick and elastic that they resist some degree of distention, but not causing laceration. Women may have inherently lacerated hips, possibly due to previous trauma at an early age. It does not mean that there has been no sexual activity in the past. Laceration does not necessarily indicate defloration.
Another causes of Hymenal Laceration
o Clotted blood passage during menstruation.
o An ulceration caused by disease such as diphtheria.
– Jumping and running
o Falling upon a sharp and hard object.
• Medical instruments
o Local medicine
o Irritation-related self-scratching.
O Masturbation.
o Injection of foreign bodies
1. Previous operation.
You may experience complications from laceration such as hemorhage or secondary infection.
Secondary Infection
The bacterial flora may be activated in the vaginal channel, or an additional infection can develop. This is most common in those with poor hygiene habits.
Hemorrhage
This is a rare problem, but it may occur in serious compound laceration of hymen.
Fistulae Formation
Compound laceration may lead to vesico or recto-vaginal fistula.
The stricture
Although hymenal laceration will not cause stricture by itself, it can result in the involvement of the vaginal walls and possibly a narrowing of your canal.
Sterility
Trauma or infection can further affect the female generative system’s upper portion and cause loss in procreation.
