For summer, indoor golf marketing ideas

With the warmer weather, schools are out, and outdoor activities really get going, we thought it would be a good idea to share some interesting marketing ideas that we have seen other people do for their indoor golf facilities.

Gamification
The feedback and analysis that you get from a controlled, monitored environment with video and sensors is unmatched by outdoor instruction. Many facilities have been able to demonstrate the science behind game improvement and get people to log hours of time on simulators.

Summer Camp
Every child is different. Others have issues with allergies and heat. Indoor golf camps are a great way for people to get into the game. You can drive bookings during low volumes, which is a good way to make a profit. You should verify any licensing or special laws that apply to running a camp.

Birthday parties
The summer camp concept is slightly different in this instance. It’s designed for kids but not for as much time. It is possible to offer parents a chance to use other simulators during the party while their kids are there.

Introduction to golf
You should target people who want to learn but are afraid of going on the courses. You can offer a special spouse to your existing players. If you help your spouse get involved in the game, it can be a great way to grow your existing base.

Leagues, Competitions and Charitable Events
To draw players, offer special events. You’ll need to work hard to get them in, so contests such as closest to pin or long drive will be a good way to draw people to your event.

Day of Demo and Fitting
You can team up with local sales people to give your customers an opportunity to go and hit all the clubs at one time. If all goes according to plan, you may be able even get in on the equipment sales action.

Bundle Deals
A combo package can be offered if you are able to offer both food and drink. Promote a promo to cool down during the heat of the day. Come in and enjoy a round with a beverage.

Rain checks
You can provide a space for children to play in the rainy season. Don’t forget to give a “Rain Check”Coupon to local clubs for players to come to your facilities and receive a discount if it rains.
