ThunderbirdWith 264 acres this lake is the largest in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. The dam is approximately 75 feet high, and the average depth is around 25 feet. There are over 7 miles of shoreline. Thunderbird has its own marina. The lake offers a beautiful place for fishing, boating, and water skiing. This lake has largemouth bass and crappie as well as catfish, bluegill, and catfish. Thunderbird shares a unique characteristic with Sequoyah, its sister lake – they are connected! It’s true, you can even boat to one lake from the other!
SequoyahIt measures in at over 75 acres and is the third-largest lake in the Village. The lake is 55 feet deep, and it covers more than 2.3 miles of coastline. It offers exceptional fishing, boating and private beaches on Sequoyah. Thunderbird is the perfect place to go waterskiing if you are feeling adventurous.
It is Cherokee Village’s second largest lake and also boasts a marina. The lake is 139 acres in size and 40 feet deep at its dam. It has over 4.7 miles worth of beautiful shoreline. Omaha offers waterskiing and boating, which is a great combination.
ChanuteThis lake measures 65 acres and boasts a shoreline of over 2.2 miles. You can enjoy peaceful fishing on this lake near South Golf Course.
NavajoNavajo, at 25 feet deep, and covering 64 acres, is just a fraction of Lake Chanute’s size, but it provides great fishing without the pressure.
CherokeeThis 40-foot deep lake has 37 acres of land and nearly 1.5 miles of shoreline. This lake is teeming with fish and you will be amazed at how few other boats you can launch from.
AztecAztec is the smallest Cherokee Village in Arkansas, at 19 acres. What it doesn’t have in terms of size, it has in tranquil fishing. It is undeveloped and a true natural beauty.
