Paul Runyan – Improve your Chipping and Putting

Paul Runyan wrote a book called, A Short Way to Get Lower Scores. His short game was above-average among fellow tour professionals. His book was one of the best purchases I made in 1980. I still have it thirty-two years after I purchased it. Do not let the simple illustrations or lack of instruction deceive you as to the quality of his instruction. He gave me the most efficient instruction I’ve seen. My short game was greatly improved.

Although I do not know whether the book is still available, I believe it is. I’ve seen used copies on Amazon.com. I would be grateful if you happen to come across one. A Short Way to Get Lower ScoresYou should definitely get a copy. It ranks amongst the best-five golf books ever created.

Paul’s strategies are extremely effective and it is amazing to me that Paul doesn’t seem to be used by both professional players or amateur golfers. Paul’s method is still unknown to many golfers, who are constantly looking for better ways to chip and putt. This is a paradox I often find myself thinking about too much. It is obvious that many golfers aren’t aware of how effective and simple his method really is. You should give this technique a shot.

His technique is a little better than his. His technique is a little different from the traditional way of chipping and putting. Both hands hold the club in their right hand with the palms facing upward. Because both of his arms are bent at forty to five degrees, this is possible. You can bend your arms so you are able to get close enough to the ball that your eyes focus directly on it. The heel of your club must be at least a foot off the ground when you are standing so close. The club’s toe touches the ground when the heel is off the ground.

Golf Swing Speed Challenge

You will need to take some time to adjust to the Paul Runyan chipping and putting position. The learning process is not difficult. It is simple to follow and read. It is easy to follow the directions with the help of the illustrations.

It took me two weeks to master his chipping technique when I started using it. If you use the right technique, your chips shots will stay on track and not move.
