Laem Chabang International Country Club

Laem Chabang has 27 holes of great golf and is a favorite among Pattaya. The clubhouse looks over hole 9 on the lake course, one of the most beautiful 9 holes in this area. Laem Chabang international Country Club offers a challenging challenge for all levels of golfers. It boasts a fantastic layout and the best caddies. If you have a high handicap, it is a wise idea to take a lot of balls with you as there are many chances to drop them.

The three 9-hole course options are: The Mountain (around mountain hills), the Lake (9 holes along a stream) or the Valley (surrounded by beautiful hills).

Top Drive: Hole 1 at the Mountain Course requires a straight-line drive because it’s surrounded with trees and water on its right. Off the white fairways, you will need to drive at least 170 meters.

Top Hole: Hole 6 requires a precise drive, followed by a second shot above the water.

Burapha Golf Club

Burapha hosts both the Thailand Open and Pattaya Singha Open every year. This course was designed by Gary Panks, and David Graham, a well-known touring professional. It is loved by locals as well as tourists. Burapha, which is known for its excellent training regimen, has many well-respected caddies.

A great deal of training goes into the groundstaff, which means that even though there are many golfers visiting the course each year, the course stays in tip-top shape.

There are 4 distinct sets of 9-holes:

A mix of holes and flatland that requires careful shot planning

B – A challenging set of nine holes on a hilly course that is used in the best competitions

C – A winding nine piece set where you need to hit straight shots

D – A set of nine holes that offers great views from Pattaya’s highest point

Top Drive: Hole 9 of course C requires you to hit the fairway with a very long shot.

Top Hole: Hole 5 is the most well-known hole on the B course. It has the entire left edge bordered by a bunker then water. Over hitting the green will result in you being trapped. This bunker requires you to hit a bunker shot well.

Siam Country Club Old Golf

Siam Country Club’s Old Course is one of Pattaya’s oldest and most famous golf courses. It was originally designed by Siam Country Club in 1969. Recent updates have included the removal of trees in order to create a natural breeze. This course has also been host to the LPGA Thailand competition, which took place in February. Bunkers are one of the most distinctive features on this course. You will find at least four or five bunkers per hole here, but less than those found on the Plantation Course next to it. The course has a high standard of maitenance, including highly-trained ground staff and caddies who look after the fairways and greens.

Top Drive: The hole 8 par-3 has a shot above water and a green with bunkers surrounding it. This par-3 is 191 yards long. Every yard counts.

Top Hole: The nineth hole is the most picturesque, offering a great view of the Buddha statue on top of the hill.

Siam Country Club Plantation Course

27 Holes| 30 minutes away | 27 holes

Siam Country Club’s Plantation course features nine holes in three different sets (Sugar Cane Tapioca Pineapple), The course was built in 2007 by world renowned Schmidt & Curley Design Inc. from Arizona at the same time as the renovations to the old course. It is important to choose your shots carefully in order not to hit into the many bunkers. The course is difficult and attracts lower handicappers, but it will appeal to players with good straight shots.

Sugarcane (a). Despite not having much water, these nine bunkers have plenty of water! Hole 5 is home to over 20 bunkers!

Tapioca (b), a good mix of holes and water with bunkers that cover the major tee shot landing areas. You can see that the b course reinforces the belief in accuracy.

Pineapple (c), – A mixture of longer holes and more sand. The holes offer great views and a scenic mixture.

Top Drive: For hole 5 (Sugar Cane), a solid tee shot is required. The player has the option of choosing between a shorter, but more dangerous route (left) or one that’s safer (right).

Top Hole: Hole 6 of the C Course is a par 5, winding around a lake. To reach par, accuracy is crucial.
