Moab Youth

Summer time approaches Moab Utah. There is also activity for the kids. Below are some of our favorite places for children to enjoy playing. These are the four best places for teens and kids to explore.

Sand Hill

Moab natives affectionately called it. This is directly across the Arches National Park entry road. You can climb the hill and then slide down. This hill is suitable for all levels of children and great to burn off energy. It is a perpetual sand hill, which replenishes itself year after year even though truckloads upon truckloads are taken away.

Anonymous Park –

These dirtbike jumps are a great choice for BMX enthusiasts. You will find it at the Mill Creek Parkway’s end, right next to 500 West. Anonymous Park pays tribute to dirt riding, bicycle motorcross and BMX trick-riding. The fun course is built from a series of kickers. An additional course will be available near the Old Spanish Trail Arena.

Disc Golf Course –

The new community course takes you through beautiful red rock settings with stunning views of big mountain peaks and sandstone walls. The course winds through diverse desert terrain, and it is lined with pinyon Pines and Junipers. You will find a few distinctive holes that lead to Russian Olive groves.

Golf Swing Speed Challenge

You will find 18 DISCatcher PRO targets on the course, sign at each tee indicating where you are, directional signs that point to confusing locations for newcomers and dirt tee pad (for now). The course is open to dogs on a leash. Old City Park does not allow them. Pets must be picked up. You do not have to pay a fee for the use of this course.

Public Skate Park

Moab City Skatepark was created by community members who believed that children need to be able to exercise their creative side on wheels. It can be found at Swanny City Park’s 400 North 199 West. The Park was established thanks to the hard work of the Moab youth. It was built in 1999, and it was a huge success immediately! Skate park is the venue for occasional tournaments, which are sponsored by Moab’s Club Red.
