HIGHLIGHTS FROM AERO INDIA 2005
1. The exhibition and Air display viewing areas have both been used to plan retail villages. The kiosks of the Retail villages sold the most beautiful Indian handicrafts for the benefit of dignitaries as well as dear visitors. Their beautiful creations were purchased in their thousands by talented craftsmen.
2. Bharat Electronics Limited arranged all communication and infrastructure support to AERO INDIA 2005. Bharat Electronics Limited contributed to the AERO INDIA 2005 communications and infrastructure support with fax, Mobil phones (Walkie-Talkie), internet, public address system, Closed Circuit TVs, Closed Circuit TVs, Audio Visual Projections in Conference Halls, Registration Centres, etc.
3. Karnataka Golf Association was Bangalore’s first venue for the inaugural Aero India Golf tournament. These unique features were created by CII and enjoyed worldwide.
4. Peter Thompson was the architect of the championship 18-hole course. It covers 30,000 square feet. Floodlit driving range is the longest in India.
5. Pavement for the Runway was prepared with Falling Weight Defect Meter. Glass grid was used to increase strength. Dense Bitumen concrete with modified bitumen polymer to PCN40 was an interesting feature.
6. The Media center accommodated 250 persons. It was housed in an entirely new hanger with an indoor area measuring 4,200 square foot.
7. Box Technology was used by Bangalore’s Indian Institute of Science to execute subways linking exhibition and domestic AFSY areas. This work was accomplished in record time.
8. 33 speakers came from overseas among the 57 who spoke at the seminar.
9. These informative, interesting, and often highly entertaining journals covered a wide range of defense and aviation topics. They attracted numerous dignitaries. Guide Publications, Private Limited, New Delhi, and Sterling Book House, Mumbai. The Bookstalls and Books were filled with information and analysis about defense issues. Every page had abundant valuable data.
10. This show was attended mainly by Indian companies from Bangalore. Some came from New Delhi.

Many technocrats joined forces and created these companies to provide services for DRDO/HAL, Navy/Airforce, Missiles/Airborne guided weapons systems UAV, Helicopters, and Bharat electronics.
12. Alpha Design Technologies Limited, Bangalore, develops simulating command and control for airborne, land-based, and ship-borne systems. Also, they manufacture night vision devices and simulators for radars and communications systems.
13. Amphenol Interconnect India Private Limited, located at 105 Bhosari Industries Area, Bhosari Pune, manufactures and markets many types of antennas, cables harnesses, and connectors. They serve military and Aerospace, Automotive & Medical, electronics, wireless infrastructure and mobile handsets. They are India’s largest dealer in the defence sector.
14. Apollo computing Laboratories Private Limited specializes in embedded computing and digital communications. They also specialize in the defense sector. They offered their services in Agni II LCA.
15. Aster Teleservices Private Limited Hyderabad has provided a yeoman services to Indian Defence units, including data acquisition and control, smart card, LC Launcher link Fibre Optic Technology, PCI based GPS times synchronisers, Unimux, hand held cable testers, and more.
16. Airdel (India) Limited has branches in Mumbai and Pune. They also collaborate with Aviation Developments U.K. They supply parts and fastness to Aerospace as well commercial industries.
17. Avi-Oil India Private Limited Supply Lubricants. It is the only one authorized by the military. Ministry of Defence, Airworthiness and Certification. The company is listed with Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance to be an eligible manufacturer of aircraft products. The company has a partnership with NYCO S.A. from France. Balmer Lawrie and Indian Oil Corporation have joined forces to create this unique lubrication that is used for Indian defense and civil aviation.
18. BACHAL Software Limited is credited with developing and testing simulators for real-time embedded Avionics software used in safety and mission critical applications such as Flight control, flight warning, transmission, weapon usage, fuel management, and other critical functions. Their services are available to DRDO labs and ADA Indian Armed forces, as well as serving Thales (Rolls Royce), SAGEM/ECE, British Airways, etc.
19. Bijal Petroleum Equipment Corporation has its office at 5/210 Ashirwad Industrial Estate Ram Mandir Road Gargeon (w), Mumbai. It provides support for aviation and fuel, as well as testing and equipment for aircraft and helicopter refuelling.
20. In order to delight the customers and have an attractive appearance, stalls featured handicrafts made by Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India Limited and Cauvery. There was a lot of attraction for women visiting India from abroad because they were attracted by each piece.
21. The traditional Indian dress is the saree. Aero India was home to a stand selling silk zari attires in 2005. There were many thousands of beautifully designed sarees on sale. The V.I.Ps enjoyed a pleasant time. Karnataka Soaps & Detergents (P) Limited also displayed their soaps which have a pleasant fragrance.
22. Chandra International Mumbai, is engaged in trade, import, switching and representation of International companies, such as ESL Defence UK and Douglas SPD UK.
23. ComAvia Systems Technologies Ltd. Bangalore offers services in the areas of Avionics integration to Indian higher-aeroplane programmes (LCA, Jaguar and MiG27), etc..
24. Chennai Data Patterns (I) Private Limited has created airborne, naval and ground applications like mission computer, displays for aircraft and Onboard Computer, fire control systems for missiles and radar subsystems.
