Barbados: How to Travel To, From, and While There
After you have checked in at Barbados’ airport, you can walk to the bus stop and take a taxi or shuttle. Pre-arrange for a shuttle from and to your hotel. The price of a taxi to the airport is between $20-60, depending on distance and the type of taxi required. Surfboard bags, and other heavy items will be charged extra by the shuttle. Wear a dress
Barbados, a British colonized country, is known for its British conservatism. The daytime dress is relaxed, casual tropical beach wear. For dinner, the women wear skirts and dresses while the men are wearing pants with collared shirts at night. Lightweight materials are best because it’s warmer.
Barbadians or Bajans are business casual. Locals dress business casually in the city, and many local men wear ties or jackets.
Beachwear is inappropriate when you are going shopping. Badminton swimwear is reserved for the beaches.
Dining
Barbados has many great restaurants. The Cliff is one the most beautiful restaurants in Barbados. It is a stunning view as you will see from the name. It is situated on the side of the cliff that overlooks the ocean.
Bellini’s Restaurant is fantastic in St. Lawrence Gap. You can find it in the cove of small boats. It’s amazing at sunset. Salmon is my favourite.
The majority of hotels will provide a guidebook listing the best restaurants located on an island within their lobby. You will find a photo of the restaurant, along with the price list. It is an excellent way to choose the places that you want to dine at while on vacation.

You have a large selection of hotel options to choose from. You decide how much money you wish to spend.
Budget
Sandy Bay Beach Club is a great place to find a deal if you’re looking for an affordable option. It is a nice hotel, with 3 stars. However, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. The beach right in front of the hotel may be the most beautiful on the island. The all-inclusive package includes all meals, beverages, gratuities, as well as non-motorized sporting activities. It is a great deal.
For those times when you’re not hungry, breakfast and lunch can be served buffet-style. Reservierungs are needed for dinner. You can still get into the dining room if they tell you otherwise. Ask when you are allowed to come in, and they will tell you if there have been cancellations. Or if it is possible for you to try the last seating at 8:30pm.
All inclusive: You can go scuba diving, kayaking and paddling. A massage for one hour at the spa costs only $65. A giant umbrella can be sunk in the sand near your lounge chair for $55. You can also take a Turtle and Shipwreck snorkeling trip from the center. This boat trip is great and very affordable.

Moderate
This stunning hotel is on a peninsula. The view from all windows is of crystal-blue water.

Prices for the rooms start at $450 and go up to $1500 each night.
This is an excellent resort if money is tight. It’s not necessary to travel far from the hotel. All the facilities of the hotel are just steps away, including the pool and beach views.
It’s expensive
Sandy Lane Hotel is the ideal place to stay, if you don’t mind paying a lot. This is where Tiger Woods got married and it is stunning.
The hotel is breathtaking. This hotel is undoubtedly the most extravagant on the island. There are many options. You can enjoy a spa, golf, horseback riding, 5-star dining and concierge services. They can either find it for or get it for you.
Tree House Club is a camp-style summer center for children. The Tree House Club is an arts and craft, movie, and pool-time playground for children. Parents can also enjoy some time alone on vacation. The Den allows teenagers to have fun away from their parents.
Rates for rooms range between $850 to 10,000 per night.
Attractions
Snorkeling with the Turtles & Shipwreck
All over the island, you can find boat and catamaran snorkeling trips. While the Snorkel Turtle Trip was great, there are no guarantees that you will see turtles in water. Be alert, you might spot one from the boat.
It is amazing to snorkel at shipwrecks. Clear water and tons of fish are available. An old wreck and a man-made one are both available. The party boat was not authentic but attracts some interesting sea life.
Wild Life Reserve
Barbados’ Wild Life Reserve should be your first choice for something to do. You can either take the 4×4 Adventure Tour or a taxi to the North End of Barbados. You pay $13 US for admission, and you get 3 times as much.
Large turtles can be seen everywhere you go when you enter the reserve. In the main reserve, there are no cages. Only the giant pythons, snakes, and iguanas are contained in their own area. Wild life such as monkeys and rabbits are allowed to roam free. Rain forest-looking vines and trees provide shade and swinging opportunities for monkeys. Brick paths are used to walk around the reserve. You can even see a crocodile swimming in the pond. It is enclosed by high rocks walls that prevent it from fleeing.
