Alicante Golf Course is located in the coastal area of Alicante, La Playa San Juan. Severiano Ballesteros designed Alicante’s par 72 golf course. This course was built as part of Alicante Urbanization, an initiative that also included schools, shops, hotels and housing. Next on the agenda is a new fire station.
An area of 535.000m2 makes up the Alicante Golf Course. The course measures 6.270m in length with 3.125m on the front and rest of the nine. Severiano Balesteros believed the course was very interesting with high levels of variation. It has five lakes, five fairways and large tees. There is also some archaelogical remains that make the course quite challenging.
Alicante Golf can be found just five minutes away from the Mediterranean. It is a great golf and beach destination. It was opened for the first time in 1988. The course boasts 6 par 3, 6 par 4s, and 6 par 5. The clubhouse has a restaurant and refreshments. Alicante Golf follows the full rules of golf so you don’t have to wear jeans.

This 5 star hotel will provide you with assistance and tee times. A villa for luxury rentals is also available, which can be found on Alicante golf’s course. You can take the public transportation here, or you could hire a taxi driver who speaks English and is familiar with doing runs on golf courses.
To play at Alicante Golf, you will have to fly to Alicante Airport. It’s then a short 25-minute drive from Playa San Juan. Taxi fare will cost you around 30 euros, while car rental costs about 100 euro per week. If you are feeling brave, you could take the tram or bus to Alicante golf for only 2 Euro.
