You might find this more challenging than you realize. If your hands become sweaty, which they will, the ball may get slick. Even if it has a good grip surface (which many do), this can happen. If your medball is heavier than 8-10 pounds, you should not be doing dynamic exercises (e.g. You’ll have to control the ball from flying out of your hand.

Also, be careful when you are doing any type of medicine ball exercise. If you don’t pay attention you could find yourself in an extremely dangerous position. This will depend on whether you use a medicine ball that bounces.

Say, for instance, that you do a simple medball slam. You might think it’s a straightforward exercise. Yes, until you lose sight of the task at hand and smash that ball in your feet. Ouch. Or you can let go of the ball too quickly and it goes somewhere that it shouldn’t. You won’t likely have damaged anything. The best case is to just run around and chase the damn thing.
