For what you really want, planning your life is not necessary

Being conscious about our decisions and acting with intention is key to achieving the things we want. Consider a recent significant decision in your life. Is it impulsive or deliberate? It worked out exactly as you expected. Did it go as you expected? If so, how could this have affected your decision next time around? Will you be willing to reexamine your options before taking action?

Can We Plan Too Much?

Every day we make many choices. But are these decisions based on deeper intentions or just a series of reflexes? Making better decisions is an essential part of living a happier life. Declining gratification, and choosing what’s likely to be beneficial for us in the long-term.

It doesn’t matter how well-planned our lives are to realize what we want. You can expect unexpected circumstances to arise due to past choices. You don’t need to focus on your future plans, you just have to decide the direction that you want your life to go. My experience with clients and my observations over time show that life does not always go according to plan. Looking back at my own life shows that many of my planned events didn’t go as I expected. That’s okay because I have seen my life unfold better than I ever imagined.

We should be able to let the current take over from a fixed plan. It means being flexible to whatever happens and being able to adapt mentally and emotionally to the unexpected. It takes some practice to be able to adapt and not be influenced by outside events. What good is the hurry if you make poor choices repeatedly?

This mindset can make it easier to be more calm when faced with events beyond our control. We don’t have to like the events that are happening, but it is possible to learn from them and accept that there might be more lessons. Since the pieces of this puzzle are still falling into place, it is important to learn how to accept that there could be something more. This idea is a comfort level. Do you recognize that what seemed like an unlikely event ended up being a blessing in your life?

When Life Is Lacking Spontaneity

Because we plan the future, the flow of life is predetermined. Imagine if your past is filled with sorrow and regret. While we might think that our future is the same, it doesn’t always work out this way. Many remarkable people have come through my coaching program and achieved extraordinary success. Their past was healed and they were ready to move into a better future. You can do the exact same thing. This requires the willingness to abandon what isn’t working and embrace boldness.

Unprepared can sometimes bring out the best in us. Because uncertainty can be the basis for adventure and personal growth. It is impossible to plan life and expect it to unfold according. It may happen that life turns unexpectedly, and this could be the best thing for us. You get the idea. We never know what lies ahead of us unless we leap of faith, and then move on with courage and boldness.

We may not expect good fortune, but it can also happen. I wrote in previous articles and books my transformation that changed my life. With a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, I went to university. After graduating from university with a B.A. in Fashion Design, my career changed to writing about and giving speeches on self-empowerment. Over the years, I felt a strong call from my heart. At first, I refused to quit my successful career due to family pressure. I understood what I was entering, but I knew that I could trust the outcome of what I was going to be stepping into. My heart’s desire was more important than a job I wasn’t satisfied with.

Believe in unexpected miracles

Consider this for yourself. Do you remember a time when you met someone and became your spouse? Maybe it was your business partner, or a close personal or professional friendship. You can’t help but wonder if you could have predicted such an outcome in hindsight.

Let us therefore be open for surprises and miracles, as this is how we will see life in unexpected ways.. Given my experience and skills in garment design, I did not expect to speak onstage in front of thousands of people. But, I believed in the possibility of life even though there was no evidence. I trusted that life wouldn’t let me down and took a risk on myself. You are now invited to let unexpected miracles happen in your life. Let life unfold through you, and be open to learning from it.

This being said, I ask you to create a list with three areas in which you plan things constantly. Are you focusing on your work, finances, health or relationships? Do you want to open yourself up to learning from others in these areas of your life? Are you willing to allow for the unexpected, even if they are only 5%? You might need to look at things differently. Maybe it requires less planning and more trust. To find the right balance, you might need to try different things.

It doesn’t matter how small or large the change is, it can have a huge impact on your life. Keep track of your emotions when you make these changes. While it might seem daunting at first, keep track of what you do and how you feel. You can then look back on your progress to find out where you were. We don’t have to plan everything in order to achieve what we truly want. Making the right choices is what matters most.
